DHS Buying 7,000 Assault Weapons for "Personal Defense"

The Department of Homeland Security is going to buy 7,000 assault weapons that are “suitable for personal defense use in close quarters.”

How does that make you feel? I have a couple questions about this.

One, why cannot we have assault weapons that are "suitable for personal defense?"

Two, who do they think is going to attack them that they need assault weapons "suitable for PERSONAL DEFENSE?"

Or are they saying that they now are going to become our personal bodyguards? Well, then there are more than 7,000 citizens in this country that need protection. Oh I have an idea, how about law-abiding citizens purchase their own firearms and protect themselves from criminals, invading armies, and tyrannical governments?

Very big DISLIKE DHS.
