The Drug War

Sending people to jail is just a tactic to deal with the symptoms of the drug problem. We need to address the issues of addiction and why so many people turn to drugs as an answer to their problems. We would have stronger communities if we concerned ourselves more with helping our neighbors instead of locking them away. I would rather help our neighbors to better their lives than work to pay the taxes to house them in a prison for most of their lives.
